Tick all that apply

November 26, 2018

This album has mainly uptempo songs, and the lyrics contain most of my life philosophies!

No Pain no gain is just a happy song about getting out of your comfort zone. This is something I do all the time, and as stressful as that may be, it makes me a happier man! Guitars are played by Martin Haene, a Swiss producer/guitarist with a big track record of music on many genres, especially for movies, TV and commercials. Backings by the talented Alessandra Frani.

Nothing ever happens in the Past is about living now, in the present tense. We all make mistakes…. we should not wallow in feelings of regrets and guilt, but just learn from our mistakes and do it better next time!

Pay the price is a song about temptation. If you are giving in to your temptations, will you still be able to look at yourself in the mirror? Will you be able to pay the price of a burdened conscience?

Once you’re here describes the feelings of someone who let go of his loved one, but is on the way to pick her up at the airport and wonders how the reunion will be. Produced by Martin Haene; he also played the guitars on this track.

Sunday Morning

November 16, 2018

This is an EP contains some of my earlier sound work. I wanted to create a laid back feel, that you can listen to on a lazy Sunday morning, hence the name! Desire and I don’t even know your name are happy mood love songs… For Desire I worked together with the Swiss violinist Irene von Bueren, whose violin parts i mixed in the crescendos at the end of the song. The song I don’t even know your name is a co-production with my brother Sies Kranen. a talented songwriter/producer. He always gives songs a crispy clarity! There is also one very serious song, Love will rise, which  I wrote inspired by the terrible tsunami that hit South East Asia in 2004, and describes the strength and resilience shown by the people despite their terrible losses. With a great Fender Rhodes solo by Jamie Langridge, and English keyboard player.

Veonn

September 14, 2018

Veonn was an interesting cooperation with Julian Abraham Chua. He would create melodies with chords, which he then would hand to me to turn into a structured final production. It was a cool cross-fertilisation and the result was a series of melodical EDM songs. Especially ‘Summer Snow’ was received well by online audiences and made it to a music catalogue.
